Arris will start selling operational-support systems made by Alopa Networks
Inc. under a reseller agreement forged between the two companies.
Under the deal, Arris will offer the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based start-up's
'MetaServ' OSS platform -- which includes software to manage service activation,
work flows, Internet-protocol provisioning and client qualification for voice,
data and video -- to its worldwide client base.
'With this agreement, we are creating exceptional synergies for our customers
deploying high-speed data, PacketCable and video services,' said Stan Brovont,
vice president of marketing for Arris' broadband division, in a release.
'This partnership adds to our portfolio of products and services designed to
accelerate cable operators into these new businesses at the highest operating
margins possible,' he added.
