Alpha Buys Lectro from Invensys

The Alpha Group, the umbrella company that owns power supplier Alpha
Technologies Inc., has purchased Lectro from Invensys Powerware for an
undisclosed price.

The move helps to consolidate Alpha's position in the powering market.

"As a worthy competitor over the years, we welcome the opportunity to expand
Lectro's solid reputation and continue to grow and service its customer base,"
Alpha Technologies president and chief operating officer Warren Johnson said in
a prepared statement.

Alpha said it will continue with Lectro's "CPR" and "ZTT Plus" standby
power-supply systems and its nonstandby ferroresonant products. And Alpha said
it would continue honoring outstanding warranties, service, installation and
support for currently deployed Lectro products.

Invensys said it sold Lectro to focus on its core AC- and DC-powering
systems.
