Alticast Taps Mike Fallon As Americas President

Video software, apps and security specialist Alticast said it has appointed Mike Fallon to president of Alticast Americas, where he will head up the company’s business strategy and operational activities in North and South America.

John Carlucci, who had been serving as president and chief technology officer of Alticast U.S. since January 2015, “will devote all of his energies to his CTO role of identifying and productizing new technologies that can drive business results for pay-TV operators,” the company said.

Fallon most recently headed Alticast’s North American customer engagement activities, where, the company said, had helped to drive three consecutive years of increasing revenue growth. Prior to Alticast, Fallon was an exec with Advanced Digital Broadcast and Vidiom, and is also late of Arris. He holds a B.A. from the University of Dallas.

Of recent note, Alticast is supplying middleware and user interface support for Videotron's new Ultra HD-capable box.

“Our success with Videotron, our APAC customers and other operators in North America and worldwide have generated numerous new business and technology opportunities,” said Mansoo Han, CEO of Alticast, in a statement. “The appointment of Mike Fallon will better enable us to leverage his strategic and leadership skills, while freeing John Carlucci to accelerate the technology solutions that the market is demanding.”
