Altitude Inks Comcast Deal

Comcast Corp. began carrying Altitude Sports & Entertainment to more than 680,000 customers in Colorado Saturday.

Comcast was the last holdout for the regional sports network after it reached an agreement with direct-broadcast satellite service DirecTV Inc. Oct. 29.

Altitude airs Denver Nuggets National Basketball Association games and has the rights to the currently locked-out National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche.

“Reaching this deal enables our customers to enjoy all the live sports contests and other great programming options on Altitude, but it also puts sports fans in the heart of the action through HDTV,” Comcast senior vice president for Colorado Scott Binder said in a prepared statement.
