The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Monday announced the winner of its debut “SCTE Excellence in Standards Award.”
Times Fiber Communications Inc. director of engineering Alan J. Amato is the inaugural winner of the award, which, the SCTE said, “was created this year to honor an SCTE standards program participant who has significantly contributed to both the technical standards program and the spirit of cooperation necessary for the success of voluntary standards.”
The award will be presented during the group’s Annual Awards Luncheon at its SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2005 June 14-17 in San Antonio.
