AT&T Corp. announced yet another outlet that will offer its “CallVantage” voice-over-Internet-protocol service.
Amazon.com Inc. (www.amazon.com) will make CallVantage available in the “Electronics Store” section of its electronic-commerce site.
“Tech-savvy shoppers know Amazon.com to be one source where they can find all of their online purchases quickly and easily," AT&T senior vice president for Internet telephony Cathy Martine said in a prepared statement. "We're delighted to launch our e-tail strategy for AT&T CallVantage service online with Amazon.com.”
The Amazon.com deal follows Monday’s announcement that CallVantage will be available in Best Buy Co. Inc. stores nationwide, as well as last week’s news that AT&T reached a deal with Cable Television Laboratories Inc. to use CableLabs’ Go2Broadband consumer-service-locator program to obtain cable service information and place orders with participating cable companies.
