She now is "responsible for driving transformation across AMC Networks to enable its long-term growth objectives, including developing an integrated transformation vision and strategy and leveraging key areas related to people, culture and employee development." Caserta will lead the company’s human resources function, encompassing employee relations, company culture, compensation and benefits."

“As we continue to look for new ways to innovate and evolve as a company, we think placing a larger focus on the intersection of our people and culture and our overall business strategy will be an important component of our continued success,” Sapan said in a release. “Jen has made significant contributions to our business and is uniquely qualified to lead the company in these important areas as we move forward.”

AMC last year consolidated its four entertainment networks -- AMC, BBC America, IFC and SundanceTV -- under common management, the release noted.
