AMC is creating a Sunday-morning talk show about entertainment that will be
hosted by Variety editor in chief Peter Bart and filmmaker and studio
head Peter Guber, officials said Thursday.
The half-hour show, Sunday Morning Shoot-Out, is slated to run at 11
a.m. starting this October. But production is beginning on the program, which
will be shot on location in Los Angeles.
AMC has ordered 13 episodes of the show, with guests to include writers,
directors, stars, producers and agents.
The series is based on the book The Shoot Out: Surviving Fame and
Misfortune in Hollywood by Bart and Guber. The latter is the former
chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and current head of Mandalay
