AMC will bring back its top-rated horror series The Walking Dead for an eighth season, the network said Sunday.
The series, which will launch its seventh season on Oct. 23, will return in late 2017 with its 100th episode, said network officials. The network also said the series’ live after show Talking Dead will also return in 2017.
The Walking Dead’s executive producers Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse will return for season eight. .
