AMC Renews ‘Walking Dead’ for 10th Season

AMC will bring back its long-running zombie drama The Walking Dead for a 10th season in October, the network said via social media Monday.

The series, which will return for the second half of its ninth season Sunday (Feb. 10) will continue the saga of survivors trying to survive the a zombie apocalypse beginning next October, according to an AMC Twitter posting earlier this afternoon.

The 10th season will be the first without series star Andrew Lincoln, who left the show during the first half of season nine and will star in several The Walking Dead movie spinoffs. The series has also yielded a successful series spinoff, Fear The Walking Dead.
