Washington -- Ameritech Corp. announced last Wednesday that
the Americast partners have filed a program-access complaint against FX with the Federal
Communications Commission.

Americast said Tele-Communications Inc. and other operators
failed to make the channel available to cable customers of Ameritech, GTE Corp., Southern
New England Telecommunications Corp. and BellSouth Corp., citing exclusivity agreements.

TCI programming affiliate Liberty Media Group took a 50
percent stake in FX in 1996.

Program-access rules currently apply only to programmers
with cable-operator ownership that exceeds 5 percent.

In the past, FX has said that it will honor its contractual
obligations with cable operators. The network had no comment last week.

Ameritech said it is providing service to more than 100,000
homes in 48 Midwestern communities.
