Anderson Ascends to EVP Human Resources, Administration at Starz

Starz LLC has elevated industry Sheryl Anderson to executive vice president of human resources and administration.

Anderson has been with the premium programmer for 20 years with responsibility for the human resources and administration functions for approximately 1,000 Starz employees She also has served as a long-time board member of the Cable Television Human Resources Association.

Prior to joining Starz Entertainment in 1992 shortly after the company was founded, Anderson served in various positions in tax and compliance at Tele-Communications Inc., United Cable, and United Artists Communications. She has also served as an honorary chair of Cable Positive.

"Managing HR and administration efforts since shortly after the company was founded, Sheryl is a true ‘Starz original" that has been instrumental in assisting us build a legacy of growth and strong performance," said Glenn Curtis, president of Starz, LLC, in a statement. "With now more than 1,000 employees worldwide across the Starz family of businesses, Sheryl and her team are vital to our future business growth and operational plans.
"Several years ago, Sheryl was a key proponent in establishing a leadership development program in association with the Denver University Daniels College of Business," Curtis continued. "This program represents her forward thinking and has proven most valuable to us in identifying and cultivating future leaders at the company. I congratulate my longtime colleague on her promotion."
