Animal Planet Sets New Series Featuring The Irwin Family

The Irwin family will appear on Animal Planet together for the first time since the 2006 death of famed conversationalist Steve Irwin in a new series Crikey! It’s The Irwins, the network said Wednesday.

The series, which premieres Oct. 28, will follow the wildlife adventures of Irwin family members Terri, Bindi and Robert as they run Australia’s largest family-owned zoo, Australia Zoo in Queensland and crisscross the world protecting and celebrating the most wondrous animals on the planet, according to the network.

Steve Irwin starred in Animal Planet’s The Crocodile Hunter from 1996 to 2006. Bindi Irwin has appeared on several cable shows including the 2007 Discovery Kids series Bindy The Jungle Girl, while Robert co-hosted the 2014 Discovery Kids series Wild But True.
