MTV Networks chairman and CEO Judy McGrath will try out another “Woman of the Year” acceptance speech in New York Monday night, where she will be among a cadre chosen by Glamour magazine.
McGrath -- toasted as Women in Cable & Telecommunications’ “Woman of the Year” last week in Washington, D.C. -- will be honored as “The Mogul” in a group that also includes actress Kate Winslet as “The Class Act,” singer Alicia Keys as “The Real Deal” and Olympic Games gold-medal-winning gymnast Carly Patterson as “The Champ.” Glamour called McGrath “the most powerful CEO in cable.”
The ceremony will be at the American Museum of Natural History, and a one-hour TV special, hosted by Sarah Michelle Gellar, will be broadcast on syndicated programs starting Nov. 13. Glamour.com (us.glamour.com) has local listings.
Profiles will be in the December issue of Glamour, on newsstands Tuesday.
