Another Mass. Town OKs Verizon


The Board of Selectmen of Lynnfield, Mass., approved Verizon Communications Inc.’s Verizon FiOS TV service in a Monday-night vote.

The municipality, with more than 11,500 potential viewers, joins Woburn and Reading on the regional Bell operating company’s Massachusetts franchise list.

Verizon has obtained video franchises covering more than 1.3 million households in California, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia, and the RBOC currently offers FiOS TV in a number of communities in Maryland, California, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Texas.
