AOL Broadband Gets Help

Netgear Inc. and Actiontec Electronics Inc. are lending AOL Broadband a
hand as the company releases its new 8.0 software package Tuesday.

Netgear said it has completed integration work to make its home-networking
products, including routers, compatible with AOL's broadband-service offerings.

Netgear sells its home-networking products in more than 4,500 stores, in
addition to through online retailers and mail-order catalogs.

Actiontec said its dual-mode wireless-ready
cable/digital-subscriber-line router is also compatible with AOL's new broadband
service.

The router's list price is $99.99.
