Charter Communications said Thursday that president of operations Steve Apodaca will leave the company.
Apodaca joined Charter in 2003 as vice president of sales and marketing for the MSO's then Central Division. He became president of operations in 2010.
Charter has undergone some major management changes in the past six months - it named former Cablevision chief operating officer Tom Rutledge CEO in December. In May Rutledge hired his former No. 2 at Cablevision John Bickham to be Charter's COO. In April former Cablevision chief marketing officer Jonathan Hargis was named to a similar position at the St. Louis MSO.
"Steve has been a valuable contributor to Charter's success for nearly a decade, and has been vital to easing my transition to the company," Bickham said in a statement. "It has been a pleasure working with him, and we wish him the best."
It hasn't been determined if Charter will replace Apodaca, who was based in Denver.
"I'm proud of all that this company has accomplished, and I know it is in good hands," Apodaca said in a statement. "I have the utmost respect for the leadership team and look forward to watching the future success of Charter."
