April’s Top 40 – TV’s Top Unscripted Shows

In the world of unscripted television, there’s a lot of singing and dancing. Looking back at April 2015, The Voice was the highes-trated unscripted program on television. The Tuesday edition of The Voice finished second in the 18-49 demo. Survivor and Dancing With The Stars took the third and fourth spots in the key demographic.

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta finished April as the fifth-highest- rated unscripted program in the demo. It was the top-rated unscripted series on cable last month. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta also finished April as the most-watched unscripted cable series (counting numbers of viewers).

Taking Live+3 data into account, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars finished April as the most-watched unscripted program on TV (15.2 million). The Voice on Mondays finished a distant second with a 12.9-million total viewer average over the entire month.

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (4.1 million) and Discovery’s The Deadliest Catch (3.9 million) were the lone representatives in this top 10 from the world of cable.
