Broadband-access-gear provider Arris has struck a deal with telephony-gateway
vendor TollBridge Technologies Inc. to jointly market their products.
Under the deal, Arris will sell TollBridge's 'TB300' gateway, along with its
'CompleteVoice' access lineup. This will allow both companies to offer a
one-stop telephony setup -- including customer devices and gateway-control
systems -- to cable operators.
Arris tested its 'Touchstone' telephony modem and port with TollBridge's
TB300 to ensure compatibility.
'The combination of the TollBridge TB300 voice gateway with Arris' solutions
will allow our customers to roll out voice-over-HFC [hybrid fiber-coaxial] more
quickly than previously possible, while preserving their option to migrate to a
pure solution when they are ready,' said Stan Brovont, Arris' vice president of
broadband marketing, in a release.
