Arroyo Video Solutions Inc. said Wednesday that it is participating in IBM Corp.'s “PartnerWorld Industry Networks” program for the media and entertainment industries.
The vendor said it will demonstrate its “Arroyo OnDemand” software running on IBM's “eServer” systems at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers’ Cable-Tec Expo in San Antonio Wednesday-Friday.
“The combination of Arroyo OnDemand software and IBM's eServer hardware is a tremendous demonstration of the value of our 100%-open VOD [video-on-demand] solutions," Arroyo vice president of technology John Pickens said in a prepared statement.
“Together Arroyo and IBM offer operators a unique combination of our ‘Always ON’ next-generation VOD delivering the highest-performing and most reliable VOD solution and the peerless IBM capability to deliver carrier-class platforms, a wealth of services and unrivalled geographic reach,” he added.
In other Arroyo news, the company announced Wednesday that it has completed separate in-depth interoperability and functionality testing for Arroyo OnDemand with 10 gigabit-Ethernet (GigE) transport-equipment vendors Neterion Inc. and Tropic Networks Inc.
