The program in Orlando, Fla., on Oct 18 will also feature Jennifer Yohe Wagner, VP of strategic business procurement at Comcast. Other panelists include Marina Escobar, senior director, creative technology, ESPN; and Manjula Talreja, VP, global cloud business development, Cisco.

The Tech It Out Conference is designed to bring together thought-leaders in technology from both inside and outside the cable industry. Each will share her insights on leadership development with a target audience of women and people of color. The conference allows dedicated time for leadership training and a guided group tour of the SCTE Smart Energy Management Showcase and Spotlight Pavilion.

Wilson is the second African-American woman to travel into space. She holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Harvard University, and a Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas. Following the completion of her graduate work, Wilson began working for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, in 1992. She was selected by NASA as an Astronaut Candidate in 1996 and has since flown on three shuttle missions, logging more than 42 days in space.

Vibha Rustagi has been involved in the cable telecommunications industries for more than 23 years. She began her career as an engineer and marketing and sales professional, where she was integrally involved in the design and launch of the first digital networks and the development of early interactive applications.
