Will start in three markets, expand from there

Atlantic Broadband is launching a TiVo upgrade including a new voice remote as well as a new IP-based video-on-demand platform that will give its viewers more choice across a host of devices, the company said.

The TiVo Experience 4 and IP VOD (provided by SeaChange) launches this week in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine, with other markets rolling out by year's end, the company said.

The new TiVo interface offers "intuitive navigation and enhanced functionality, hyper-personalized viewing recommendations and an easy-to-use remote, offering conversational voice control," according to the top-10 cable operator.

Users can search for content across standard TV, DVR recordings, and on-demand and over-the-top platforms, including Netflix.

“The new experience is not only visually beautiful, but will transform the TV experience for our customers,” said Heather McCallion, VP of products and programming for Atlantic Broadband.
