Atlantic: Free Data to Military Families

Atlantic Broadband Inc. will offer free high-speed-data service to immediate families of military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan for as long as their relatives are abroad, AP reported.

The operator said it will start the program in central and western Pennsylvania before bringing it to parts of New York, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Florida, according to AP.

Atlantic will provide free installation, a cable modem and five e-mail accounts per home.

“It was our opportunity to help the soldiers and their families who are doing so much for us," chief information officer Rich Shea told AP.
