AT&T Debuts U-verse In Central Arkansas

AT&T announced Tuesday the launch of a triple-play U-verse offering in Little Rock, Ark., and surrounding communities, where it will go head-to-head with Comcast.

U-verse TV, Internet and voice services are available in parts of six local communities -- Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Cammack Village, Maumelle and Sherwood -- and AT&T said it will expand the rollout to more homes on an ongoing basis.

AT&T is advertising a lineup of more than 45 HD channels, which it claimed is more than the “major local cable providers.” In Little Rock, Comcast provides 18 HD channels including premiums, according to the cable company’s site.

The telco offers five U-verse TV programming packages, starting at $44 per month.
