AT&T Throws Rotten Tomatoes at VOD

AT&T inked a deal with News Corp.’s IGN Entertainment to provide U-verse TV subscribers access to reviews from IGN’s Rotten Tomatoes  movie site as part of its video-on-demand service.

Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. The telco’s TV customers can access Rotten Tomatoes reviews on-screen via the U-verse Theatre channel, at AT&T’s U-verse U-connect entertainment site, and in VOD brochures and the U-guide monthly entertainment magazine mailed to subscribers.

AT&T says it offers “thousands” of VOD titles. Rotten Tomatoes provides profiles and ratings on nearly 200,000 films.
