AWE Lines Up Five-Match Boxing Card on Nov. 22

AWE has lined up what it hopes will be an awesome afternoon of boxing from across the pond on Nov. 22.

AWE-A Wealth of Entertainment, which counts carriage on telcos AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS, will exclusively air the rematch between ex-light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly and former two-time championship challenger Tony Bellew. The cruiserweight world title elimination bout, airing live on AWE, originates from Echo Arena in Liverpool.

The pair fought at the Echo Arena back in 2011 and then-world champion Cleverly managed to hang onto his WBO belt. Check out a preview of the fight here.

The jam-packed card begins Stateside at 1 p.m. (ET).

The co-features center on a pair of WBA world title bouts. Scott Quigg will make the fifth defense of his WBA super bantamweight crown against Japan’s Hidenori Otake. Two-time bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell will defend his WBA belt against Colombia’s Walberto Ramos.

The action also features two-time world title challenger George Groves taking on American Denis Douglin; undefeated British prospect Callum Smith battling former world title challenger Nikola Sjekloca; and heavyweight and undefeated 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua mixing it up with 64-fight veteran Michael Sprott.

In addition to U-verse and FiOS, AWE, which showcases lifestyle and entertainment fare from exotic travel to outrageous homes, is available on more than 100 cable providers.
