AXS TV Picks Up ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’

Mark Cuban’s AXS TV has licensed the rights to all seven seasons of the former A&E reality seriesGene Simmons Family Jewels and will run a marathon of the first season on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The series, about the KISS front man, his former girlfriend (and now wife) Shannon Tweed, their children and their dog, will debut on AXS TV on Thursday, Oct. 3, with back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. ET, which will be its regular slot after that.

The network is putting together a comedy night on Thursdays, including a new live interview talk show starting Tom Green and existing performance series Gotham Comedy Live at 10 p.m.

Tom Green Live also starts on Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. His first guest is slated to be Richard Belzer. Green previously hosted a talk show on MTV and an Internet show, Tom Green's House Tonight.

"Gene Simmons Family Jewels is a one-of-kind look into the home life of an American icon,” AXS TV founding partner Mark Cuban said in a release. “Gene Simmons continues to be at the forefront of American entertainment and this program extends our mission to bring music and pop culture back to television.”
