Bagan, Fawaz Join Adelphia

Adelphia Communications Corp. said Wednesday that it has named former
AT&T Broadband chief information officer Joe Bagan as senior vice president
and chief administrative officer and former Vulcan Inc. Investment Management
Group technology-investment specialist Marwan Fawaz as senior VP of engineering
and chief technology officer.

Both men have ties to Adelphia's new chairman and CEO, William Schleyer, and
president and chief operating officer Ron Cooper.

Schleyer and Cooper were hired earlier in March after serving as CEO and COO,
respectively, at AT&T Broadband. Prior to that, Schleyer had been president
and COO of MediaOne Group Inc. and a principal of Pilot House Ventures Group
LLC. Cooper had earlier been executive VP at MediaOne.

Fawaz had previously held senior engineering, operations and technology
positions at MediaOne, Pilot House, Times Mirror Cable Television and Charter
Communications Inc.

In his new position, Bagan will be responsible for Adelphia's information
technology and services, including customer billing. In addition, he will manage
companywide logistics and supply chain, vendor management and several special
projects, including Adelphia's ongoing competitive-local-exchange carrier
activity, as well as the issues associated with its former subsidiary, Adelphia
Business Solutions.

Fawaz will be responsible for ensuring that Adelphia's technology platform is
robust, secure and efficient, as well as capable of providing Adelphia customers
with a suite of advanced services to meet their current and future entertainment
and information needs.
