Comcast Corp. has promoted Amy Banse to executive vice president of its newly
created programming-investments division, officials said Wednesday.
Banse most recently was Comcast's VP of programming investments. The new
division she will lead was formed to seek new programming opportunities and to
help manage Comcast's investments in cable networks.
"Amy and her team have done a tremendous job of building our content
portfolio," Comcast president and CEO Brian Roberts said in a prepared
"Comcast's programming is among the most visible on television today thanks
in part to their considerable efforts," he added. "The new
programming-investments division will continue to look for and invest in content
with the aim of delighting viewers and shareholders alike."
