Home Box Office Pay-Per-View's March 2 Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales
fight has been postponed due to an injury to Barrera, according to network
officials.

The bout -- for Morales' World Boxing Council featherweight-championship belt
-- is off until at least July, after Barrera sustained a rib injury during
training.

The highly anticipated fight was to pit the two rivals in a rematch of a 2000
bout, which Morales won a controversial decision.

HBO PPV sources said the fight would most likely fall into July due to a glut
of scheduled and proposed PPV fights slated for the first and second
quarters.

The network, along with Showtime Event Television, is still looking to
finalize plans for what was supposed to be an April 6 Lennox Lewis-Mike Tyson
heavyweight PPV fight, and it has already scheduled a May 4 Oscar De La
Hoya-Fernando Vargas bout.

The network is also working on a late-spring/early summer fight between Roy
Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins.
