BBC World News Adds Xfinity TV Subs In Florida

BBC World News has picked up additional distribution on Xfinity TV in big Florida markets, the BBC’s global 24-hour news channel said.

The channel was added to the Xfinity TV Digital Preferred plan on channel 171 in markets including Miami, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Fort Myers and West Palm Beach.

“BBC World News has built a loyal and passionate following across North America and we are delighted that we are able to now bring this exceptional content to customers of the Xfinity TV Digital Preferred plan in these markets in Florida,” Thomas M. Zemaitis, vice president, sales & marketing for Comcast’s Florida Region, said in a release.

BBC World News now reaches more than 27 million homes on a 24/7 basis in this country, in markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Seattle and Atlanta.
