BBCA to Bow 'Copper's Second Season on June 23

Sophomore Campaign Expands to 13 Episodes

BBC America has set the sophomore season premiere of Copper for June 23 at 10 p.m.

Copper, which will see its second campaign expand to 13 episodes, bowed last August as BBC America’s top drama with 1.8 million viewers. The series averaged over 1 million weekly viewers over its 10-installment rookie run.

The network will present a teaser, featuring music by Iron and Wine, during Doctor Who at 8 p.m. on March 30.

Set New York City circa 1865, the show stars Tom Weston-Jones, who returns as detective Kevin Corcoran, an Irish-American cop who seeks justice for the powerless in the notorious Five Points.  Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy, Max Payne), Eamonn Walker (Chicago Fire, Oz), Lee Tergesen (The Big C, Oz) and Andrew Howard (Hatfield & McCoys, The Hangover) join the cast during the second season.
