BeIN Sport Names Briceño Deputy Managing Director for North America

BeIn Sport has named Antonio Briceño deputy managing director for its North American operation.

As deputy managing director for North America, Briceño will oversee operations, production, marketing, sales and distribution efforts for beIN Sport and beIN Sport en Español, as well as for the authenticated-streaming service beIN Sport Play.

Briceño, who has more than 20 years of experience in the television industry, has been part of beIN Sport since its Aug. 15, 2012 inception and was responsible for building its Miami-based team.

“Antonio brings a level of understanding and know-how to beIN Sport that resonates with our audience and our affiliates, helping us become one of the fastest-growing sports networks in the U.S.,” said Yousef Al-Obaidly, managing director of beIN Sport, to whom Briceño reports. “He consistently has exceeded expectations and has built a dynamic, creative and results-driven network team.”

BeIN Sport’s exclusive lineup includes coverage of La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, the top soccer circuits in Spain, Spain and France, respectively. The network also features CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying matches, Copa America, the Copa del Rey, the U.K.’s Football League, Six Nations Rugby, tennis, boxing and other international sport competitions.
