BendBroadband launched its “InstaNet to Go” Wi-Fi service Thursday in Bend, Redmond and Sisters, Ore.
The operator said InstaNet to Go “will allow seamless mobility from one wireless-access point to another without disruption to the customer’s Internet connection.”
BendBroadband added that it is activating wireless Internet access in various strategic venues throughout central Oregon, and future expansion plans include key traffic corridors, shopping venues and recreational sites for both InstaNet customers and visitors.
“The network design allows us to provide roaming InstaNet service for our existing subscribers, as well as ad-hoc access for visitors and nonsubscribers,” BendBroadband senior vice president of operations Ray Spreier said in a prepared statement. “The multisite design also opens the door for other specialized business, municipal and public-safety applications.”
