BET to Air Woman Thou Art Loosed

Woman Thou Art Loosed, a two-hour movie adaptation of Bishop T.D. Jakes' self-help novel of the same title, will make its world television premiere on Black Entertainment Television Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST).

The film stars Jakes, Kimberly Elise (Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Manchurian Candidate), Clifton Powell (Ray, Friday After Next), Loretta Devine (Crash, King's Ransom) and Debbi Morgan (Coach Carter, Love & Basketball).

Woman Thou Art Loosed is an unflinching look at real life, which makes its message of redemption even more powerful," BET president of entertainment Reginald Hudlin said in a prepared statement. "We are proud to show this important contribution to independent film.”
