The BET Awards '12 telecast is the most watched show among African-American viewers during July, but VH1 programming dominates the overall top 15 list of shows for the month.
BET's July 1 BET Awards telecast topped all basic cable shows during the period of July 2 to July 22, drawing 6.5 million total African American viewers, according to Nielsen. VH1's reality series Love And Hip Hop Atlanta secured the next four slots, with three episodes of the network's sophomore drama series Single Ladies close behind.
Multiple episodes of BET's gospel music competition series Sunday Best and TBS' comedy series For Better Or Worse also landed on the list, according to Nielsen.
