Black Entertainment Television and Westwood One Inc., a pair of Viacom Inc.
subsidiaries, are creating a radio-network engagement.

BET announced the formation of BET Radio Network Wednesday afternoon, with
Westwood One as the venture's syndicator to contemporary urban radio stations
nationwide.

The network will start July 8 with a 10-minute audio feed transmitted to
participating stations, including one-minute updates from BET Nightly
News
anchor Jacque Reid, live concert excerpts, music and movie news
featurettes and more.

BET's radio network relationship with Westwood One is 'multiyear,' according
to a press release announcing the venture.

The venture 'marks yet another evolution for BET as a multifaceted
entertainment brand serving a range of consumer tastes,' BET chief operating
officer Debra Lee said in a prepared statement.

Westwood One's radio-syndication rep, in tandem with BET, 'will provide a
solid foundation for success,' she added.

The number of stations taking BET Radio Network and their locations will be
released shortly before launch time, a Westwood One spokesperson said late
Wednesday.
