BET Debuts BET Comedy Awards

Black Entertainment Television held its first-ever BET Comedy Awards Tuesday night at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif.

Comedy Central’s Chappelle's Show, Fox's The Bernie Mac Show and ABC's My Wife & Kids led the television category with two awards each.

• Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series: Tisha Campbell-Martin, My Wife & Kids.

• Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series: Damon Wayans, My Wife & Kids.

• Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series: Golden Brooks, Girlfriends (UPN).

• Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series: Donald Faison, Scrubs (NBC).

• Outstanding Lead Actress/Box Office Movie: Gabrielle Union, Deliver Us from Eva.

• Outstanding Lead Actor/Box Office Movie: LL Cool J, Deliver Us from Eva.

• Outstanding Supporting Actress/Box Office Movie: Queen Latifah, Barbershop 2: Back in Business.

• Outstanding Supporting Actor/Box Office Movie: Cedric the Entertainer, Barbershop 2: Back in Business.

• Outstanding Directing in a Box Office Movie: Keenen Ivory Wayans, White Chicks.

• Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series: The Bernie Mac Show.

• Outstanding Writing in a Box Office Movie: White Chicks.

• Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series: Chappelle's Show.

• Outstanding Comedy Variety Series: Chappelle's Show.

• Outstanding Comedy Series: The Bernie Mac Show.
