BET to Mark 25th with Special

Los Angeles -- Black Entertainment Television will mark its 25th anniversary with a November special, part of several new shows the network rolled out Tuesday at the Television Critics Association tour here.

In February, the network will bow an original movie, Book of Love: The Definitive Reason Why Men Are Dogs, a "mocumentary" chronicling the lives of thee bachelors and their experiences with the fairer sex, according to network executives.

On the series front, the network's College Hill reality series will return later this month for its sophomore season, while The Cousin Jeff Chronicles -- a five-part series of documentaries chronicling political, environmental and health issues facing the African-American and Latino communities -- will bow in March.

Upcoming specials will include Rip the Runway, a fashion-show/music-concert hybrid show set to air March 24, and the return of such established franchises as The Celebration of Gospel and Spring Bling.
