Black Entertainment Television will provide a insider look at controversial Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick as part of a new docu-series schedule to debut on the network in 2010.
Tentatively titled The Michael Vick Project, the eight-part series produced by BET Networks in association with DuBose Entertainment will follow Vick's return to the NFL this year after serving two years in prison for his association with a dog fighting ring as he tries to settle both his professional and family life.
BET president of programming Loretha Jones told the L.A. Times that the network isn't looking to stir up controversy with the series but rather want to showcase Vick's efforts to put his life back together.
"Michael Vick's story is about second chances and we are excited to have the opportunity to tell his complete story," said Jones.
