Bethesda, Md.-Animal Planet has bowed new on-air identity spots from production house ViewPoint Studios. Animal Planet and ViewPoint collaborated to create a consistent look and color palette that could be carried over to the network's print and Internet efforts, said Animal Planet director of advertising Ken Leonardo.

ViewPoint created 13 different backplates for the spots, and was able to film two or three animals in front of each, ViewPoint studio director Dave Shilale said in a press release.
