Beyonc, Hudson Are BET Awards Dreamgirls


Dreamgirls co-stars Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson shared the spotlight once again Tuesday night as the pair each racked in two prizes at The BET Awards ’07.

The Oscar-winning Hudson picked up awards for Best Actress and Best New Artist, while Beyoncé won the Video of the Year award for “Irreplaceable” and best female rhythm-and-blues artist.

The two 25-year-old stars were the only award winners to take in more than one award at the seventh-annual ceremony, held in Los Angeles.

Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu and Chaka Khan paid individual tributes to Diana Ross, who received this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Among the artists who performed at the ceremony were 50 Cent, T.I., Beyonce, Diddy and Lil’ Kim.

• BET Cool Like That: Gerald Levert;

• Viewers' Choice: Birdman & Lil Wayne, "Stuntin' Like My Daddy";

• Humanitarian Award: Don Cheadle; and

Lifetime Achievement Award: Diana Ross.
