Big Apple Time Warner Deal for Q

Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey will launch Q Television Network Thursday.

QTN joins Logo and here! as networks targeting the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual audience on the MSO’s largest system.

Time Warner launched QTN in Rochester and Syracuse, N.Y., last month, and in its Maine division in July.

“Distribution is imperative to any network's growth, and to be launching in the nation's largest DMA clearly signifies QTN's advancement in the industry,” vice president of affiliate sales and marketing Carol Hinnant said in a prepared statement.

“Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey has done a wonderful job of recognizing and serving the GLBT audience, and it is to be commended for its leadership within the cable-television industry,” she added.
