Fans spend an average of 40 minutes per visit on an interactive application called LiveCast on the Big Ten Network Web site, according to Jacked Inc., the application designer.

The application allows fans to access real-time statistics, news and trivia and chat with other fans via computer during the televised games of the Big Ten Network. More than 112,000 unique visitors have used the Big Ten network LiveCasts in the first five weeks of the season.

Jacked and BTN are in the first year of a strategic partnership to offer the network's fans local LiveCasts for the 11 teams covered in its conference through the 2008-09 football and basketball seasons. Jacked applications are also in use by Versus at its Web site, as well as the New York Giants football team.

The Jacked SportsTop application currently supports all NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL games, as well as NCAA football and basketball games. Jacked offers advertisers a variety of options to reach sports fans, including ads that can be tied to contextual events during the broadcast, geo-targeted and eventually synchronized with broadcast commercials.
