Shaw Cable will offer the standard-definition version of Big Ten Network on its digital-basic service, while the HD service is now available as part of Shaw's HD Plus package.
For its part, Star Choice is offering the standard-definition version of the network as part of its "More Sports" package in all markets throughout Canada. Big Ten Network's enhanced channel is as part of Star Choice's HD Sports package.
"We're thrilled that Shaw Cable and Star Choice have joined the long and growing list of distribution partners offering the Big Ten Network to their customers," said Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman in a statement. "We've heard from Big Ten fans and alumni in Canada who want to follow their favorite teams, especially as we head into the Big Ten Basketball tournaments."
