Black Family to Air Debates

Black Family Channel has joined the list of networks covering the presidential debates.

The former Major Broadcasting Cable Network will air the two remaining debates between President George W. Bush and challenger Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) Friday and Oct. 13 from 9 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Black Family also aired the first presidential debate last week.

The network also prepared a one-hour special about the candidates running for top office, new stars in the political arena and the way voters are looking at this year's election season.

Our Vote 2004 will air Monday from 9 p.m.-10 p.m.

“The mission of Black Family Channel is to empower and inform African-American families with programming about issues that directly influence their lifestyles and life choices," said Greg Morrison, news director of the network’s nightly newscast, The Urban Voice, in a prepared statement.
