The Pan African Film Festival will air on Starz Encore Group LLC’s Black Starz! for its seventh year, the network said Tuesday.
Films will air Tuesdays at 11:30 p.m. (EST/PST) starting Sept. 7, along with additional playdates, Black Starz! said.
The four films making up this year’s PAFF are Malunde (South Africa), Madame Satã (Brazil), Tasuma (Burkina Faso) and The Killing Zone (Ghana/Brooklyn).
“We are very pleased to offer this unique and exciting viewing experience to our subscribers again this year,” Starz Encore director of multicultural program acquisitions Brett Marottoli said in a prepared statement.
“The PAFF has become rooted in the Black Starz! tradition, giving us the opportunity to celebrate the vitality and mastery of filmmakers from Africa and the African Diaspora,” he added.
