Blonder Tongue Laboratories reported its second-quarter-2006 results Monday.
Net sales of $10.012 million were up 6.4% from $9.408 million in the year-ago quarter. The vendor said sales of digital and HD products rose to $1.323 million from $1.108 million and sales of interdiction products climbed to $650,000 from $500,000.
Blonder Tongue lowered its second-quarter net loss to $404,000, or $0.05 per share, versus $641,000 ($0.08) in the second quarter of 2005.
“The comparable quarter-to-quarter sales improvement is indicative of the continued long-term progress of our new product offerings,” CEO James A. Luksch said in a prepared statement. “We are addressing the disappointing earnings through, among other things, the elimination of certain noncore business units that adversely affect our financial performance.”
