Bobby Valentine Rejoins 'Baseball Tonight' Lineup

Bobby V.'s back in Bristol with the Baseball Tonight boys.

Former New York Mets and Texas Rangers manager Bobby Valentine is rejoining ESPN as a baseball analyst, where he will contribute principally to Baseball Tonight. Valentine, who had been managing Japan's Chiba Lotte Marines from 2004 through the most recently completed season, will begin his ESPN gig during the League Championships Series and the World Series.

Valentine, who was a contributor to ESPN during 2003,  will assume a larger role during the 2010 season. In addition, he will contribute to, the cabler's local sports We bsite launching in 2010, as well as 1050 ESPN Radio in New York.

"Bobby's global knowledge of the game and dynamic personality make him a great addition to our baseball franchise," said Norby Williamson, executive vice president of production. "We're thrilled to welcome him back to ESPN."
