In light of a guilty verdict Thursday in Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial, digital broadcast network Bounce has pulled reruns of The Cosby Show, but cable network TV One continues to air the series.
Bounce in a statement Thursday said it is “removing” The Cosby Show from its schedule. The decision comes hours after the show’s star, Bill Cosby, was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.
African-American targeted TV One was airing The Cosby Show at press time as part of its daily 5 pm to 8 pm programming block the network has scheduled for the series. The network could not be reached for comment as to whether it plans to eventually pull the series.
The Cosby Show ran on NBC from 1984-1992.
